Travel Sleep Mask to review.
I've never really understood the need for sleep masks, I can sleep just fine in any lighting situation. Hell, I can sleep just about anywhere in any situation. I've actually slept through an earthquake, in fact. It was a small earthquake, but it still counts. My eldest son, Zach, on the other hand, cannot sleep if there is any light at all. Even the smallest amount of light will keep him up (or wake him if he's already asleep) which is a problem because it's impossible to keep all light out of a room. So, I decided to give this sleep mask a try and see if it will help Zach sleep. Since Zach has sensory issues, it is going to take a while to get him used wearing it. Currently, he'll let me put it on him, but he pulls it down around his neck to wear like a scarf. The mask is really soft, which I think will be helpful in getting Zach to wear it. I did give the mask a try myself just to see what it's like, but it made me feel disoriented to be in such complete darkness. It closes with Velcro on the back so it can be adjusted to fit most people. It is designed to be a travel mask and I think it would be great for traveling because you can just strap around your neck and go then when you're ready to sleep all you have to do is pull it over your eyes, no more digging through your luggage to find a sleep mask!
