Resurrection America by Jeff Gunhus

I received a free copy of the book Resurrection America by Jeff Gunhus to review.

I'm not big on fiction, I usually prefer science and history genres, and when I do read fiction it's mostly historical fiction. But I do like to branch out occasionally and I figured this book would be worth a cursory read at least. I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, all I knew was that it's a thriller and the author is a USA Today bestseller. So, I honestly thought the book would be okay, but not great. Instead, I started reading with the intention of reading a couple chapters and taking a break but I just couldn't put it down! This book is great, it has a compelling story and intersting characters. The author also made sure that the scientific aspects of the story were accurate, which is always a plus for we science geeks. The author really knows how to write compelling fiction that draws the reader in from the first page. I didn't want to put this book down because I just HAD to know what happens to the characters. I haven't finished the book yet because I have a lot going on, but it really draws me in. Even as I'm writing this, I want to pick the book back up and continue reading. The only problem with it is that eventually I'll reach the end of the book and it will be over. Luckily for me, the author has other novels I will be able to peruse when I finish this one. Anyone in the market for a new book to read should check out this book.
