Three Minutes of Eternity

I recevvied a free copy of the ebook Three Minutes of Eternity to review.

This is a novel about Eurovision, a singing competition of European nations that apparently includes Israel, which is not a European nation. I never really knew much about Eurovision because it falls far outside the sphere of my interests. I would honestly rather have teeth pulled without Novocain than watch a singing competition, they're so incredibly boring. The author is a middle-aged man who was involved in Eurovision in the past and seems to have written this book to try and reclaim his lost youth. He even refers to himself as a 16-year-old in a 40-year-old's body in his author bio on Amazon. Not sure why anyone would be so proud of immaturity, but okay. Anyway, about the book. So there are some books that draw you in and make you want to keep reading, they make reading a great pleasure. Then there are books that make reading a chore, books that make you want to gauge your own eyes out with rusty sporks just to get out of reading them. This book is the latter for me. It's just really boring. There's some promise of big action in the beginning but the author never makes good on that promise. Instead, it is drab and dull with a little bit of action and some romance which do nothing to improve the readability.
