I received a free copy of the ebook You Deserve Better :Success in real-life negotiations to review.
The introduction to this ebook starts out with an all too familiar situation for everyone that has ever applied for a job: the salary negotiation. We all know the anxiety that comes during a salary negotiation, you don't want to aim too high and cost yourself the job, but you don't want to aim too low and cost yourself the money you deserve. Then the other option, do you let the negotiator that's offering you the job make the first bid? This ebook aims to help you solve all of your negotiating nightmare conundrums. I think that there is some pretty good advice in this book that would be helpful at the negotiating table, but there is also a lot of fluff and filler. There are a lot of long, drawn-out examples that start to get redundant after a while. I do think, though, that despite the redundancy of the examples this book is a good investment for anyone who needs help with an upcoming negotiation.
