Love Lost in the War Book Review

I got this book Love Lost in the War to review.

This is a short fiction book based in WW2 era Poland, and Russia. Despite it only has about 240 pages it took me an hour to finish it. About 3 chapters in I knew how the book would end. The characters are boring and there is no character development. The story has 2 main characters and the short chapters bounce from one to the other and give no idea of the passage of time from one chapter to the next. There are a lot of places in the story that should have been addressed but are completely ignored and forgotten. The time skip from chapter to chapter is very annoying. You cant get interested in what is happening to the characters or relate to there struggles as both seem to have life easy despite they are running from Nazi oppression opportunity is handed to them. Another big problem with the book is many chapters are meant to be read as letters sent to family and friends but they are in the same format as a normal chapter. Not even close to how a person would write a letter to anyone.
