Men's Slim-Fit Windowpane Suit

I got this nice Verno men's slim-fit windowpane 2 piece suit for my husband to wear when he needs a suit. Unfortunately, the suit is too big for him so it won't work for that. I am certain, however, that I can find someone in the family that is the right size for this suit. The suit is made of high quality materials and the stitching work is good, but they didn't take the time to make sure that thepattern on the fabric matched up where the sleeves and pockets are attached which is generally considered to be a sign of low-quality craftsmanship. It does make the suit look a little less sleek, but it is still a good choice for ocassional use. The windowpane style is currently popular, though I am not personally a fan of it.

Maginon QC-5S Quadcopter Drone

This is my first drone. I have always kind of wanted one, but not enough to really buy one. I know nothing about drones and I did not want to buy one without knowing what to look for nor did I have the time to seek out information to help make the right decision. So I was happy to get this drone to test. I figured it would operate like the RC airplanes and helicopters I am used to, which it sort of does but it is also a lot easier to get the hang of than any RC airplane/helicopter I have ever owned or operated. I was really excited when this drone arrived at my house and I first saw it. I showed it to my husband right away because he has been wanting a drone way more than I have, so I planned on giving this to him. And since the drone was intended for him he got to try it out first as I waited (not at all) patiently for my turn. Because the drone didn't come with a manual or instruction book we had to figure it out on our own while trying to find the manual online. We flew it around a little outside until the battery went dead, which didn't take long but we hadn't bothered fully charging it before we started. When fully charged the battery lasts quite a long time, though I didn't track how long. This drone is really the perfect beginner's drone because it is easy to learn and master even without the manual.

JettMe is a website offering a useful service for budding social media influencers. It's an interesting website, for $97 you can get a "shout-out" on their homepage with links to your social media platforms. The "shout-out" they provide is just your Youtube channel name, your Youtube channel profile photo, and link to your Youtube channel, Instagram page, Facebook profile/page, and twitter account. They also have a live subscriber count feature on their page that allows you to enter the name of any Youtube channel and see a live update of the current subscriber count. It's a pretty interesting tool to mess around with and enter the names of channels you follow. I had never heard of this company prior to being offered a free "shout-out" in exchange for posting about their service, which makes me wonder how much benefit it provides. Of course, I don't pay much attention to social media marketing, so I may just be out of the loop. I could also be that the service is new and that's why I haven't heard of it. I love tea. I love all forms of tea. So whenever I have the opportunity to try a new kind of tea I take it. There are some tea varieties I end up not liking as much (or at all in some cases, I'm looking at you Rooibos!), but usually, I like most teas I try. I'll be buying more when I use all this up, although that might take a while.

Jadience Stress Relief Soak

I received this Jadience Stress Relieving Soak to test and review. Upon receiving the package with this item, the first thing I did was open it up and smell it. I am really sensitive to smells, and some smells make me feel ill (headaches, nausea, etc) so I always worry about new products. Well, I was pleasantly surprised with the smell, it has a nice sort of savory smell that reminds me of autumn and winter cooking. Dog, Cat, Horse Sore Muscle Pain Relief Spray

This pain relief spray works for cats, dogs, horses, and rabbits. I though my sister's dog and cat could benefit from this product because they are both getting old and having issues with arthritis. There are some ingredients in the spray that worry me as they are not necessarily a good choice for animals. One of those ingredients is "natural lavender scent" which is concerning because lavender is not safe for cats. The other ingredients seem to be mostly okay, though I'm not sure how effective they would be at relieving pain. It isn't really harmful, but there's no proof that it provides any actual benefits. Matcha Green Tea Scrub

So, when I first opened the box this Matcha Green Tea Scrub I wasn't sure what to expect. The outer packaging is really nice and pretty with a vibrantly colored butterfly on it. It's definitely a good package design that will draw your eye to it on a store shelf. That outer butterfly canister removes to show a simple clear container full of almost sparkly green scrub. The outer canister is cardboard so it is biodegradable, always a nice bonus! There is a tamper-proof seal on the inner canister, which was a bit difficult to remove. The scrub itself has a slightly floral smell to it, but it's not to strong. It isn't goopy or wet, it's pretty much dry like a big tub of salt. It's easy to use, you just scoop a little out and rub it on your skin. It's not too gritty, so it doesn't cause irritation, but it is gritty enough to gently exfoliate your skin and leave it feeling soft and fresh. White House in a Gray City is the story of a boy who was sent by his overwhelmed mother to live in an orphanage in Pre-War Poland. The orphanage was the run by the famous Janusz Korczak (real name Henryk Goldszmit), a children's author and educator. The author of White House in a Gray City is Itzchak Belfer, who also has a children's book about his Janusz Korczak. This book is the story of Itzchak Belfer's life in pre-war Poland, including his time in the orphanage. The book follows the journey of Itzchak Belfer from his early days in an orphanage, through his travels to escape Nazi forces during the war, to his attempt to find his home. The story is full of sorrow and suffering but ends on a happier note. The book includes mention of the early days of the founding of the state of Israel, though it does seem to leave out or gloss over some of the more unpleasant facts of that era.

Everyone knows the woes of a clogged drain. It can totally ruin what should have been a perfectly pleasant shower. There's nothing worse than having filthy water back up on you while you are trying to get clean. One of the major causes of clogged drains, in my house anyway, is hair. Stackable Shoe Storage Box

You can never have too many storage boxes. I keep these on hand for storing my jewelry making supplies in and my other craft stuff or any thing I don't want to get dusty. One thing I like about the shoe boxes is they are stack able but at the same time small enough to fit little places that other wise are no good for storing things in. I gave some of these to my dad. He's a gun smith and likes reloading his own ammo and these are perfect for storing brass and gun parts in, as well as some of his key chain collection, and they help him to be better organized. Some thing he really needed since he had things pilled and stuffed under tables in such a way he could not see what he had. Tibetan Singing Bowl Set

Tibetan singing bowls are a great meditation tool and they're also a fun little instrument to play around with. They sound really nice and the sound lasts for a while as it slowly fades out in a nice, soothing manner. I don't do a lot of meditation because I get bored and distracted so it's hard to focus and my mind always wanders. Everyone says that having a mantra can help, but for me it really doesn't work. This bowl does help me keep focused though, because the sound is nice and soothing and very easy to focus on allowing me, and maybe other easily distractable people, to easily hone in on it and remain focused on the sounds. Tippy, our Australian Shepherd/Labrador mix, is a very big, very energetic fluff ball. Tippy really loves playing with balls, but many balls are easily damaged or destroyed, leaving poor puppers with a deflated ball that isn't as fun to chase. Cicloop Reflex Ball Headband

Recently I have been trying to get back in shape, and as a result, I have been looking for new workout routines. And since boxing is a pretty good workout, I thought this boxing training headband would be a good thing to try out. Except that I forgot how completely uncoordinated I am and my lack of eye-hand coordination. After about two weeks of practice with this headband, I still have a lot of trouble successfully keeping the ball going. In fact, in many instances when I hit it, it simply flies back and hits me in the face or chest. It doesn't hurt, so at least there's that. It really is a cool and useful tool, I will say. But if, like me, you lack eye-hand coordination it may take you quite a while to get the hang of it. I tried using both the lightweight and heavier weight ball and I find that, personally, the heavier ball work better for me. The lightweight ball seems to fly more "out of control" when I try using it. The headband is easy to set up, it velcros onto your head, and the elastic that holds the ball can easily be shortened to accommodate short-armed people like me.

I got this tie for Zachary to wear for picture day at school, though I'm sure I will find it to be useful in other situations. Aloe vera has a lot of different uses. Most commonly it is used for treating burns, but it can also be used on other types of wounds, as a moisturizer, and apparently even as conditioner for your hair. Youphoria Microfiber Quick Dry Travel Towel

I got this towel because I thought it would be perfect for use washing the cars. It is a soft microfiber towel and it would work well for polishing a car. It dries quickly and is pretty small, so it is also an ideal towel for taking with you while traveling or going on camping trips. I think this towel will probably most get used, in my family that is, being taken on fishing and camping trips as it is small, light, and easy to pack and will quickly dry after being used. The towel has a weird texture to it that I don't like, but that is true of most microfiber items I have owned. It is soft, but it just feels a little weird to me and I don't like it touching my palms. That said, though, it is a good towel for many different uses. My family loves mashed potatoes, but I really hate mashing potatoes. Pet Safety Leads Car Vehicle Seat Belt Harness Review

I got these because my dog can not sit still in the car and I wanted an easy way to keep him in the middle of the back seat. He gets overly exited when he gets to go on a car ride and  he is always going from side to side barking at any thing that moves and scratching the windows and door panels. He can destroy door panels, scratch windows, and tear up upholstery in a very short time. He try's to get in the front seat all the time and will try to get in your lap to look out the drivers side window to bark at what ever may be out it and scratch up the window, the dash, and the interior. I needed some thing that would keep him in one spot in the middle of the seat. This is basically a leash that  clips into the seat belt latch and on to the dogs collar and these  are great, they are exactly what I needed for keeping him in one spot and he can still look out what ever window he wants to . Squirt's Day at Home

I have two boys and I like to read with them so I'm always looking for new children's books to read to them. So when I was offered a copy of this book to read with my kiddos and review, I was happy to give it a try. This book is a cute little story, perfect for kids written by a kid. In the past, I have read other books written by kids that weren't very good, they had potential but were overzealous in trying to publish without taking time to properly edit. This book, though, is well written and edited. It is a good book and the illustrations are cute and perfectly suited to the style of the story. If your children are like mine, and absolutely adore all things "puppies" you should get them a copy of this adorable little book. It is also a great inspirational story if you read the "about the author" section to your children because it will show them that even children can publish books.

Carabiner Clips

Carabiner clips have a lot of different uses. Mostly we use ours to hold our keys, but I also sometimes use them to hold the back of my dresses and give them a halter top style look. I have also heard that some people use carabiner hooks to clip purses and bags to shopping carts when shopping. It's actually a great idea for keeping reusable shopping bags out of the way of your groceries and in easy access for check out time. These clips are not the kind to be used in mountain/rock climbing, though. They are made of metal, but they aren't designed to hold up the weight of people. They are effective for many other uses, though. Besides the things we use ours for you can also use them as tie downs or hooks around the house. Joyal Beauty Hydration Facial Mask

My skin is extremely dry and sensitive, which is just a horrible combination. I am always in search of new methods of moisturizing my skin without causing breakouts or rashes of any sort. So I decided to test out this face mask and see if it would help. This mask is clear when applied, which is very different from what I am used to. It feels a little weird on my skin when I put it on, but it didn't cause any kind of irritation at all, which was nice. My skin does seem to be less dry than it was before I started using this mask. INNX Sheet Fasteners

I don't have any need for sheet fasteners, but I knew by looking at these that they would work perfectly for the purpose I needed: holding my couch cover in place. We have a couch cover on our large couch because it has a terrible habit of "eating" things that get on the couch. But, the problem is, the couch cover doesn't like to stay in place very well. It slowly but surely slides down the back of the couch and gets wedged down in the couch. What a pain, right? The cover came with one strap to hold it on the couch, but that just wasn't enough. In fact, I had to add three to get the cover to stay on the couch and I think I may need to add a fourth clip to keep the couch cover completely in place, but that is okay because we still have an extra clip. Kllarmant T6 LED Flashlight

As I have mentioned before on this blog and elsewhere, we are constantly in need of new flashlights. I often lose flashlights or somehow damage them, usually by dropping them on concrete surfaces. So we are always in the market for new flashlights. I have actually tested out quite a few different style flashlights and I like this one the best. It has three settings-solid light, SOS, and emergency/panic. You can easily cycle through the settings by tapping lightly on the power button without shutting the flashlight off, which is nice. I also like the brightness of this flashlight, it is bright enough to light the area up just fine. It also has a narrow option for focusing in on specific small targets. Neutralyze Anti-acne Anti-aging Moisturizer

I actually got this product intending for Zach to use it. His skin has been breaking out quite a bit as he's gotten closer to those dreaded teenage years. Most acne fighting products aren't really safe for Zach because he doesn't close his eyes when washing his face and the soaps would burn his eyes. This product being a moisturizer makes it perfect for Zach to use. Of course, he doesn't put it on his face himself, but he does stand there and allow me to put it on his face, which is impressive because he usally resists having products put on his skin because he has sensory issues. Of course, I had to try the product for myself as well, and I am pleased to say that it does not cause any irritation or breakouts on my skin unlike most anti-acne/anti-aging products I have used in the past. Vallaya Cocoon Facial Soap

When I was a teenager I had pretty bad acne, and it really sucked. My mother bought glycerin soap and swore that it would help clear my skin. It didn't, but I know that it can work for others. So I decided to try this soap out for Zach and see if it helps clear his skin. Zach has always preferred his soaps in bar format, so I thought this soap would be a good choice for him to watch his face. This soap bar has a very strong smell to it, and I would consider the smell to be more of a manly smell. It smells similar to men's deodorants. Zach uses the soap pretty consistently, and he has yet to try and eat/bite it, which is always nice. His skin has stayed pretty clear since he has started using this soap. Riwbox Bluetooth Headphones

I got these headphones mostly because I like the color. I really didn't have any idea how I would use them as I rarely wear headphones or headsets or really anything on my head because I don't like having things on my head. But I ordered this headset anyway and later I was quite glad that I did. You see, my husband is a truck driver and he needs to be able to make and receive calls while driving, and it is illegal to use handsets while driving where we live so he has to have a headset. He actually had a headset that was designed for truck drivers, but after getting hurt at work and being unable to return to work for more than five months his old headset no longer worked. Perhaps it was the months of not being charged or used that did it in, perhaps it was just a low quality headset, who knows. But, the death of his old headset meant he needed a new one to use at work. Well, one morning whil he was getting ready he pointed at this Riwbox headset and asked what was wrong with it. I told him there was nothing wrong with it, I simply hadn't figured out what I would do with it yet and he asked if it would work for him in the truck. I wasn't sure how well it would work for that, but he decided to give it a try and see if it worked. Because the mic is on the ear phone directly, we didn't expect much from this for use whil driving but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the audio on phone calls is very clear and easy to understand on both ends of the phone call. I wouldn't recommend this as a driving headest, however, because it completely covers the ears and blocks out ambient sounds, which is dangerous while driving. However, it is a good quality headset with a surprisingly good microphone on it. It would be a great headset for gamers or people just listening to music.

I Can See You Now

I Can See You Now is a memoir of a mother and daughter, written by both of them together. Each person, mother and daughter, writes a portion of each chapter, telling the story from their perspective. Michal, the mother, is a therapist and Ayelet, her daughter, is a psychology student, so they both have similar fields and similar backgrounds in a sense yet they still have different perspectives on things. It's pretty interesting to see two people who are simultaneously similar and different telling the stories of the same events. The book has obvious religious leanings, as is expected considering it is in the religion and spirituality category. I, personally, am not interested in religion or spirituality, however, I still found this book pretty interesting just because of the unique format and point of view presented within its pages. The book is rather short, however, but it is still an interesting read. I would recommend buying it only when on sale.

New Economics ebook

New Economics is a book that claims to contain great and innovative ways to fix the economy, which the author seems to believe will create equality in the world. The first problem here is that none of these ideas are new in any way. In fact, most of these "innovative" ideas are just Marxism-lite. The author seems to believe that by preventing any one person from acquiring and keeping large wealth you will create a better world, a world where people are equal. In theory this seems like a great idea, but in practice we know it won't work. These supposedly innovative ideas have been tried before in various methods to no avail. I will admit, the author's tax strategy is different than most other "one tax" startegies I've heard thrown about, but it still has the same problem all flat tax ideas have: they put the burden on the poor. Perhaps the author should study economics more in depth, as well as world history, before trying to come up with a solution to the world's economic troubles.

Incomplete Silence ebook

Incomplete Silence is a thriller, according to the author, but it wasn't very thrilling to me. The story starts out incredibly slow and it never really seems to find its footing. It just drags on, and never really gets interesting, at least not in my opinion. Incomplete Silence is the story of a disgraced police officer who discovers a plot against Israeli chief of staff. I had a really hard time reading this book because it never became interesting or drew me in in any way. I really haven't got much of anything else to say about this book, it was very slow and boring. I would not recommend it.

The Ones Who Won ebook

The Ones Who Won is another one of those books that is categorized as a novel, though the book description refers to it as a true story. I hate when books are listed that way because if it is a true story it should be in one of the non-fiction categories instead of litereature. But anyway, onto the book itself. The Ones Who Won is the story of a young girl growing up in a kibbutz in Israel. The story, like other stories I've read that fall into this "can't decide if it wants to be fiction or non-fiction" category, is a slow starter. It takes quite a while for the story to really get interesting at all, and even then it isn't a must-read. It is an alright book, but I wouldn't by it at full price.

A Breath She Took ebook

I received a free advanced copy of the ebook A Breath She Took to read and review. I wasn't really sure what to expect from this book when I started reading it, the blurb about the book on the Amazon listing didn't make it seem very interesting. But once I started reading, I simply couldn't put it down! This story isn't action packed or anything of that sort, but it really draws the reader in and keeps you hooked. The story is well written, the main character is realateable and it is very easy to feel for her and the struggles she faces in her life. The author does a great job drawing in the reader to the plight of the main character. I greatly enjoyed this book and will look for any future works by this author.

Doña Gracia’s Gold Pendant ebook

Doña Gracia’s Gold Pendant is a book about a small group of Jewish people who have been forced to pretend they are Christian so that they may safely stay in their homes and avoid persecution. In case you're thinking that background sounds familiar you're in for a surprise, this story has nothing to do with the events that occur during the Second World War. This novel takes place in the 16th century in Portugal. The book is categorized as fiction in the listing, but the author's description of the book refers to it as "The true story of Doña Gracia" so I am uncertain if it is intended to be fictional or historical. But, it is a nicely written story about a historical figure many, like myself, may have never heard of before. As I said, it is well written, but the story is pretty boring to me honestly. It did however lead me down a rabbit hole of searching out more information on this figure I had never heard of.

Ear Spoon Endoscope

Zachary, my oldest son, has always had problems with excessive build-up of ear wax. When he was only two years old he was sent to an audiologist during his initial autism diagnosis process, because his social skills were normal and he had no noticeable delays beyond speech delays it was believed hearing troubles may have been the source of his delays. The audiologist did notice a major build up of ear wax which they had to remove in order to perform the exam and hearing tests. The results were inconclusive so he went back a total of eight times in a period of two and a half months and at every visit, he had a build-up of earwax that needed to be removed in order to perform the exam and testing. And since that point he has continued to have ear wax build-ups that need clearing at least once a month and because he does not speak it is very hard to know if he is having issues with his ears and he doesn't like letting people look in his ears. I got this little endoscope in hopes that it would help because he could look at the inside of his ear too which might fascinate him enough to get some cooperation. The endoscope is great for looking into ears of older kids and adults, though it is too large to use on smaller children. Zachary is still not fond of having his ears checked, but it is easier with this little device. I am not comfortable using the spoon attachments because I fear that if he were to move he could get hurt.

Measuring Cups

I like to bake, which requires using measuring cups. Up until now, I only had one measuring cup that would measure more than a single cup at a time and I have always thought about buying more, but never got around to it. And then I got a deal on these cups, so I decided it was time to buy myself some more measuring cups. These measuring cups are pretty sturdy, I have dropped them a few times, including dropping the whole set once after trying unsuccessfully to put them in the cupboard and none of them were damaged. They are dishwasher safe, so that makes cleaning quick and easy. These measuring cups work great on both dry and liquid ingredients, though I personally prefer this style measuring cup for liquids but not so much for solids. These measuring cups are nice and easy to use, they have both imperial and metric units for easy use without needing to convert units.

The Adventures of the Immortal Zombie Girl ebook

Okay, so I got a free copy of the ebook "The Adventures of the Immortal Zombie Girl" to read and review. This book is classified as a children's book, but it doesn't specify which age group of children. I would consider it more of a young adult fiction, personally, or maybe one level below young adult, whatever that would be. The book has a llot of romance and supernatural elements to it, which are my least favorite plot devices, but the author manages to pull it together into a nice story. I wouldn't normally read a book like this, but I must say that I acutally enjoyed this book. It is a cute and funny story, with a varied and interesting cast of characters.

Fleece Throw Blanket

I like soft blankets. Who doesn't, right? Fleece blankets are almost always soft, and that makes them among the best blankets around. So I decided to order this blanket. It is a throw blanket, so I knew it wouldn't be big enough for, say, Cary and I to use on our bed as our blanket. But it is plenty big enough to use as a children's blanket or as a nice throw to cover a small arm chair. Zach and Scott both love this blanket because it is really soft. The color is pretty muted, though. It doesn't look like the photo on the listing. The blanket I ordered was turquoise, but it looks more like a dusky gray-green. It is a nice color, but not the color shown on the listing. There is also one spot on the blanket where the seam has already torn. It is a pretty blanket and very soft, and I may order more for the kids. They also sell pillow cases in two sizes as well. I will be getting some of the pillow cases for throw pillows to put on my couch.

Lasten Sketch Books

I used to do a lot of drawing when I was younger, it was a lot of fun for me. Except during middle and high school when we had a horrible, totalitarian art teacher that would only allow us to do one thing in art class: drawa pictures of photos we found in magazines in black and white with pencil and do NOT take any creative liberties. Art class sucked and made me really hate drawing for a long time. But eventually I started to draw again and it was fun when I wasn't being commanded to draw the way someone else wanted me to. So I did a lot of drawing again for a while, but then my first child was born and I didn't have a lot of time to draw, but I still tried to draw when I could. And after Zach was diagnosed with autism, between trying to get him to appointments and working, I had no time for leisure activities so I just stopped drawing completely. Recently, with Zach getting older and being in school more, I have more free time for activities I enjoy. So I decided I would start drawing again because it really is an activity I enjoyed. And to that end, I got these new Lasten sketch books. They can be purchased with different animals on the cover, and you get two different sizes as a pack. The books are really nice quality, the paper is sturdy. I also like that the binding are on top, as I am left handed and bindings usually get right in my way. I realize I could just flip a regular sketch book, but I still feel weird doing that. Anyway, I do like the quallity of these sketch books and the price, too. I think they are a good choice for anyone who needs a new sketchbook or two.

Why is it Always My Fault ebook

"Why is it Always My Fault" is an ebook designed to help parents of children with ADD/ADHD. The author, Dr David Yagil, is a "clinical, developmental, and rehabilitation psychologist" which I find interesting. This book starts out by listing some symptoms of ADD/ADHD, but many of these are actually symptoms of autism. I find it very interesting that an author, who is a psychologist, would list so many symptoms that are very common and well known symptoms of autism as being symptoms of ADD/ADHD. I understand that there is a lot of overlap among the two conditions but most of the symptoms listed in this book are definitely autism symptoms, which makes me wonder if the children referenced in this book need to be reassessed and given a proper diagnosis. My son has both autism and ADHD so I do have experience with the symptoms of both conditions and while I am not an expert, I do know the symptoms of each condition. That said, some of the advice given in the book could be useful for some parents and their children but unfortunately it didn't provide any helpful tips for my family.

Laptop Webcam Covers

So by now I will just go ahead and assume that everyone is aware of webcam hacking. I will be honest, though, I have never really been that worried about someone hacking my webcam as the most they'll get to see is me sitting in front of my computer while I browse the net or play games. But anyway, I decided to try these webcam covers myself because it would be pretty creepy to have some rando watching me while I'm typing I suppose. These webcam covers come in a three pack, so I gave the other two to my sister and my dad for them to use for their laptops. The instructions say to clean your laptop before sticking the camera cover on, but I didn't do that. I did wipe it down with an alcohol wipe, but not very thoroughly at all and afterwards I wiped it dry so I could just stick the camera cover on. Now, I find that when you put the camera cover on it is best to have it slid into the "open" position to make sure you get it positioned right so that you can still use your camera successfully with the cover on. The opening fit exactly around my webcam lens with no wiggle room, so had I placed the cover wrong it would have interfered with the camera operating. Once the cover was on, it really stuck quite well. It hasn't fallen off or come loose at all. I do think these are a great webcam cover for anyone worried about privacy.
