The Other Side of the Sky

The Other Side of the Sky is romance story, but not a "romance novel." We hear the story from the perspective of the main character, Telma. The book starts out really slow, with one bit potentially hinting that a tragedy may have struck Telma's family during her childhood. The story starts off pretty slow and it took me a couple of chapters to really even begin to care what was going on. And the chapters are really long, so that's not a good sign. Beyond that, I was a little irked by the jumping from time to time throughout the story from Telma's childhood to different periods of her adult life. At first it was somewhat confusing, but it gets easier to follow once you get introduced to the characters. The story does become more engaging as it goes on, but it is not my kind of book. It is well written and interesting and if you're into romance stories this book is for you!
