Laptop Webcam Covers

So by now I will just go ahead and assume that everyone is aware of webcam hacking. I will be honest, though, I have never really been that worried about someone hacking my webcam as the most they'll get to see is me sitting in front of my computer while I browse the net or play games. But anyway, I decided to try these webcam covers myself because it would be pretty creepy to have some rando watching me while I'm typing I suppose. These webcam covers come in a three pack, so I gave the other two to my sister and my dad for them to use for their laptops. The instructions say to clean your laptop before sticking the camera cover on, but I didn't do that. I did wipe it down with an alcohol wipe, but not very thoroughly at all and afterwards I wiped it dry so I could just stick the camera cover on. Now, I find that when you put the camera cover on it is best to have it slid into the "open" position to make sure you get it positioned right so that you can still use your camera successfully with the cover on. The opening fit exactly around my webcam lens with no wiggle room, so had I placed the cover wrong it would have interfered with the camera operating. Once the cover was on, it really stuck quite well. It hasn't fallen off or come loose at all. I do think these are a great webcam cover for anyone worried about privacy.
