I got this Satin Sheet Set to review.
I've never owned satin sheets before, but I have heard many people brag about them so when I saw this deal I figured I should invest in my first set of satin sheets and see if they can live up to the hype. We just recently got a new mattress and new pillows, so I figured new sheets were the next logical step. I chose the gold color because I didn't like how the other colors looked. When I got the sheet set the first thing I noticed is how they look almost plush in the right light, which was interesting. The sheets have a very nice sheen to them, they definately look luxe and expensive. The sheets are very soft. I really like them, though my husband is a bit on the fence about them. Because the sheets are satin they are "slippery," for lack of a better word. Satin sheets are recommended because they decrease signs of aging such as wrinkles because they don't snag the skin, they also don't snag hair so long haired folks like myself can benefit from them because they help prevent big knots and tangles in your hair. When I put the sheets on the bed I saw that the fitted sheet has deep pockets, so it is loose on our mattress because we have athin mattress, but that means this sheets set will work with those who have thicker or pillow top mattresses as well. The pillow cases that came with my queen size set fit our king size pillows, which was a nice bonus. The sheets are well made and pretty. My husband isn't a big fan because his pillow keeps sliding out from under him and he has to chase it around the bed, which normally wouldn't be an issue but because of his injury it causes him a lot of pain and makes it hard to sleep. We'll see how he likes the sheets when his injury is healed.
